Mother: What is your book about?
boy : Animals.
Mother: Well,do you know where fishes live?
boy : In the water.
Mother: Great! but why don't they live on the land?
boy : because there are cats on the land.
一本关于动物的书
妈妈：你的书是关于什么的？
男孩：动物。
妈妈：很好，你知道鱼生活在哪里吗？
男孩：水里。
妈妈：好极了！为什么它们不生活在陆地上？
男孩：因为陆地上有猫。
The old and the boy
boy : Good morning,grandpa!
Grandpa: How old are you,boy?
boy : I’m six.
Grandpa: You are tall.but you are still shorter than my umbrella.
boy : Then,how old is your umbrella?
老人和男孩
男孩：早上好，爷爷！
爷爷：孩子，你多大了？
男孩：我六岁了。
爷爷：你是高的。但和我的伞比你还是矮一些。
男孩：那么，你的伞多大了？
A good boy
Little Robert asked his mother for two cents. "What did you do with the money I gave you yesterday?"
"I gave it to a poor old woman." He answered.
"You're a good boy." Said the mother proudly. "Here are two cents more. but why are you so interested in the old woman?"
"She is the one who sells the candy."
好孩子
小罗伯特向妈妈要两分钱。
“昨天给你的钱干什么了？”
“我给了一个可怜的老太婆，”他回答说。
“你真是个好孩子，”妈妈骄傲地说。“再给你两分钱。可你为什么对那位老太太那么感兴趣呢？”
“她是个卖糖果的。”
