One day, the north wind and
the sun hada quarrel.They both
thought that they werethe
strongest in the world.
The sun said:"All the things
dependon me to grow up.I am the
centre of the universe,my powers
is the strongest".
The north windrebutted:"My
powers is the strongest,all
people hide themselves where
I get ".
The north wind and the sun
quarreled harder and harder,just
then ,they saw a woman walking
on the road below .
They betted who would be
winner if hecould make her taking
off her coat.
The north wind tried first.He
blowed hard at the woman,the
dust was blowing on the road.He
blowed harder and harder ,but
the woman holded her coat
tighter and tighter.The woman
didn't take off her coat but
putted her cap.The north wind
tired .
The sun said with a smile:"You
can't ,let me try "At first,
the sun shone gently ,the woman
unbuttoned her coat soon.
The sun shone warmer and
warmer ,the woman took off her
coat a few minutes later.
At last,the sun won,but the
north wind didn't know why
he failed.
北风和太阳
一天，北风和太阳争吵起来，他们都认为自己的能量是
最大的。
太阳说：“万物生长都需要我，我是宇宙的中心，我的
能量最大！
北风反驳说：“我的能量最大，我所到之处，人们都躲
着我!”
北风和太阳争吵得越来越厉害，这时候，他们看见一
个妇女正在路上行走，他们打赌谁能让那位妇女脱下大
衣，谁就算赢了。
北风鼓足了劲儿，猛烈地吹向那位妇女，吹得路上满
是灰尘，他使劲地吹呀吹呀，那个妇女却把大衣裹得
越来越紧，她不但没脱下大衣还戴上了帽子。北风
疲倦了！
太阳微笑着说：“你这样是不行的！还是让我来
吧！”说完，太阳用温暖的阳光照着那位妇女，很快
她就解开了扣子。
阳光越来越温暖，没几分钟，那位妇女就把大衣脱
下来了。
最后，太阳赢了，而北风却不知道自己为什么输了！
