Population Problems-----------The Richer CountriesWhen we mention the population problems, what do you think it is caused by? China, India, or any other poor countries with a large population? However, as a matter of fact, the richer countries have greater effect than poor countries on the environment.
On one hand, the richer countries use most of the natural resources in the world. As we know, the people in these countries lead a high standard life. They use the most of the natural resources that exist, while the poor countries don’t. For example, in china, many farmers grow rice to send aboard for the richer countries but not for themselves. At the same time, the people in the poor area of china are starving.
On the other hand, the pollutions in richer countries are serious. As the economy is developing fast, many high---tech equipments are used in people’s daily life. There is no doubt that the high---tech equipments make people’s life more convenience. But every coin has two sides, the high---tech equipments can often caused industry pollution. Many diseases are caused by the radioactive rays which come from the modern machines. The air becomes harmful because of the buses and cars.
Above all, the population problems are not mainly caused by the large number of people, but the effect which people have on the environment. Thus the richer countries are to blame for.
